There is no specified time requirement associated with this office. It is better if this office can be checked a minimum of twice per week, however, everyday updates are preferred. The load of work will vary depending on the event type and time of year.
The largest amount of work will occur when each month's Letters of Acceptances and Returns (LoARs) are released by Laurel Sovereign of Arms. The new LOAR will need to be checked for new device registries in An Tir, as well as changes to existing names or devices that may impact the Roll. These new or changed devices will then need to be emblazoned and added to the Rolls.
Individuals who move to An Tir from other Kingdoms will also contact Couronne Rouge to get their device added to our Roll.
This position requires:
Consistency in site administration
Excellent communication skills, diplomacy, discretion
Good overall customer service skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical staff as well as Kingdom IT and Heralds
Consistent and reliable internet and computer access, including an internet browser
Knowledge of Kingdom website interface(s)
Desireable skills include:
familiarity with graphic design for device emblazoning. Inkscape and other Open Source graphic tools are free but do have a learning curve.
familiarity with HTML, CSS, PHP, and SQL databases is an asset.
Familiarity with typing text (names in particular) which involve the international character set
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Kingdom Heralds and contacts to maintain and update the Roll of Arms as requests are made.
Coordinate with Black Lion and staff, as well as other kingdom stakeholders (eg, Crown, Seneschal, Chatelaine, Lists) to determine and integrate desired content and
functionality in a clear, aesthetically-pleasing, and maintainable manner
Communicate with Black Lion regarding issues in satisfying requests, or ideas for expanding website capabilities
