Argent Scroll
Argent Scroll is the heraldry education deputy, charged with:
- soliciting and evaluating bids for the Kingdom Heraldic and Scribal Symposium,
- advertising the Symposium within the kingdom,
- working with the kingdom scribe to recruit instructors to meet educational needs both for the Symposium as as needs are identified, and
- engaging in general outreach to the populace to further knowledge and appreciation of the heraldic function
A successful Argent Scroll will be:
- A resource for public inquiries about heralds and heraldry
- Familiar with the major personalities of our College, and able to successfully collaborate with them
- Organized
- Responsive to email
- Able to work with others as part of a team
Skills:
- Ability to distill information about heraldry into accurate, comprehensible chunks for public consumption
- Ability to manage and support branches through the Symposium bidding process, generally remotely
- Ability to develop and recruit a programming track using both imported and local talent
- Ability to help provide advertising for any symposia
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with event registration software
Knowledge of any specific function, such as book or voice, are not required for success in this office, but general heraldic knowledge and the ability to quickly learn and disseminate knowledge will be useful.
